The game also includes microtransactions, as players can purchase the in-game currency Brawlla Bills to purchase various elements from the Rumbleverse shop. Despite being free-to-play, Rumbleverse features a battle pass model that unlocks a variety of cosmetics as players earn experience through missions and matches. Should this rumor prove to be true, Rumbleverse will shut down its servers six months after its original release. Some players hoped that since Rumbleverse’s developer Iron Galaxy would no longer be working on this game, it could develop a new entry in its popular Killer Instinct franchise. Other Twitter users were not surprised by the rumor of Rumbleverse shutting down as competition is fierce in the battle royale market with competitors such as Fortnite, PUBG, and Apex Legends. While some refused to accept that the game could come to an end, others remembered playing Rumbleverse with their friends or regretted spending money on the game. In the comments to this Twitter post, several players mourned the end of Rumbleverse by sharing some of their favorite moments spent playing. While he didn’t share his source, Henderson stated that Rumbleverse store delisting should start today, with an official announcement from either developer Iron Galaxy or publisher Epic Games coming soon.
